ANIMAL FARM

Manor Farm owned by Mr.Jones had almost all kinds of animals. If you consider a Jungle where it has a lion as it's king and all the other wild animals as its members, similarly the Manor Farm had his own king and every farm animal called him as Old Major who is wise, stout, 12 year old, good looking pig and there were many domesticated pigs, among them Snowball and Napoleon are known because of their not being in good-terms and always opposed each other's opinion, Squealer is a fat pig known for his wit, three bull dogs namely bluebell, Jessie & Pincher. Two cart-horses are Clover and Boxer. Clover is a stout motherly mare and Boxer is a strong known for his character and tremendous work. White goat named Muriel, donkey called as Benjamin, white mare known as Mollie, Tame raven named as Moses and few hens, sheep and cows, all these were the members of the Animal Farm.

Mr.Jones is usually drunk most of the times. One day as soon as he went to sleep all the farm animals gathered for meeting at barn to discuss about the strange dream of an Old Major. Before his dream, he wanted to convey an importance of the nature of this life on the planet earth. Old Major addresses them as "Comrades" and sheds light on their nature of life, mainly on how laborious and miserable their lives are and how they are forced to work with all their capacities while providing just as little food as possible to keep them alive and as soon as their usefulness ends they are slaughtered mercilessly and tells them that the root cause for all these is man, who consumes all the available benefits without producing any. He urges them to put an end to this by overthrowing humans which can be done through only one way and that is "Rebellion" which will set them free and bring social equality among all the farm animals. Later, he shares his dream, where he was an infant and there were no human beings around them, then his mother and other sows used to sing a song of which he remembered only three words but after the dream, it came naturally to him and it was commonly called as "Beasts of England".

A day comes when Mr.Jones forgets to feed the farm animals, then they all plan a rebellion and they execute it so well that Mr.Jones fled from the farm. They won even when Mr.Jones had attacked them for the second time.

One day Snowball provides an idea of building a Windmill so that they could get electricity which will help them to run their machines but Napoleon opposes his idea and in the next meeting he lets his bawling dogs to chase Snowball and finally wins an argument and declares himself as a leader of Animal Farm and after some days confirms that they will build the windmill and manage the food production at the same time.

All the animals worked harder but Boxer who is known for his tremendous work got up an hour early everyday so that he could complete the windmill construction as soon as possible. He always worked harder until the day he collapses and was sent to knackers for slaughtering and all the farm animals were deceived by telling that the Boxer was taken to a Veterinary hospital.

All the farm animals worked hard except pigs and dogs. All the farm animals got limited food but the pigs and dogs got unlimited of it. Whenever Clover mentioned of equality of all farm animals as preached by Old Major, Squealer told her that these days are way better than the Jones ones and they should remain loyal to Comrade Napoleon and everyone believed him. Later Clover got to know about all the tactics played by Napoleon but then it was too late.

Takeaways

1. We have to treat each and every individual socially equal, no one will teach us how to do it but it has to come from our subconscious mind.

2. If we don’t fight against the totalitarian regime then we will be the next victim if it.
